If you are requested to have a blood or other test, the results will come to the practice within a variable period of time depending on the type of test. If you are told to contact us for results then please do so using the normal telephone number. You may be contacted by letter to request that you make an appointment to see a nurse or a doctor following the test.
Any results that require immediate treatment will be relayed to you as soon as possible. To assist in treatment you may receive letters asking you to go for a blood or other test. This is generally for review purposes to try to maintain your health and the letter will have the details of where to go to have the test, together with the forms needed when you get there.
Please note that we do have a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection. In this respect we will only give out results to the person they relate to unless that person has given prior permission for their release or if they are not capable of understanding them.
If you are asked to bring in a specimen of urine or anything else, please bring it in early in the morning as the courier to the laboratory picks up the specimens at 11:00.
